MY DREAM, MY FUTURE

                Time really flies too fast and I who was born on the 3^rd of August, 1999 is now turning 16. “You only live ones,” as the saying goes, so we must fulfill those things we’ve been dreaming of and prepare for our plans in the future.

                “I will become a nurse…..an engineer…an accountant...,” I would say every time my teacher ask me what I will be when I was 6. But now, I have 3 major goals to pursue in life. First, to have a good career, second is to have a happy family and third is to help the people in need. In the future, I want to be a strong man that will serve the community and create a better one.

                I know that my dreams are too high to reach but I won’t lose hope until I achieve all these. “If others can, why can’t I?”

                Above all my success, I’m thanking my parents in molding me to be a good person. I am very blessed to have them as my friend, my sister and as a family. They are the reason why I am striving for my ambitions and I will do my best to make them proud of me. 

                   

CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

CHANGE, IT BEGINS WITH ME

            

              “Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself.” ---Leo Tolstoy

                That statement above sounds very true, right? We’ve been thinking of changing the world but changing ourselves does not come to our minds. How is it even possible of changing the lives of many if we can’t even think about ourselves? We need to change ourselves first.

                Remember that in every big data is a collection of small data. Yes every small step that we are doing, we can influence the trending of the world. We gain trust if we have trust within. We gain love if we love we are. Lead yourself first before you lead others.

                We have 24/7, 365 to make the move of changing. How to do it? Just learn on how to be contented and forgive anyone who hurts you. These things are very simple but if everyone will do it, the outcome will be surprising.

                “Change, it begins with me.”

                Change within us will be change for the better and the result is a better world.

KANNAWIDAN ILOCOS

               

     Ilocos Sur province is a place with very rich and amazing traditions. This place is the home of the astounding city which is now very known especially now that it is one of the New 7 Wonders Cities of the World, our very own Vigan. In order to showcase more unique things of Ilokanos, there are significant festivals and exhibits done in the province and one of these events is the KANNAWIDAN.

     Kannawidan is a week-long event and this year, it is more beautiful and surprising. This event is done at the Quirino Stadium located at Bantay, Ilocos Sur. There are carnivals, trade fairs that showcase different Iloko products, mouth-watering food products and also famous personalities for entertainment.

   This event celebrates the live cultures and traditions of Ilokanos. Not only that, our great Ilokano men is being recognize in this occasion. Student leaders from different corners of the province are awarded for their excellence in different activities.

        By the end,  let us not forget that the main aim of Kannawidan is to promote the preservation of the province rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions. These cultures are the treasure of the past that will be inherited by present and future generations.

REFLECTION

3^rd GRADING PERIOD...

               

               This is the 3^rd quarter of the School Year and just like the game Basketball, it gets more interesting. Our teacher introduced other exciting topics especially in making our own web page.

                First, we have to learn on inserting HTML links. I can say that this is a creative art that somehow help us in the future. We also learned how to use the frameset and iframe. I also enjoyed making the Tables on my own web page and learned some other tags use. Because of these lessons, we are being enlightened on the real world of internet and we are learning how to be a creative one by just using computers.

                I’m very thankful because we are blessed to have a kind teacher to teach us responsibly even only for an hour of the day. We are also thankful to the unending support and consideration of Ma’am not only to us but also to the other students.

                I’m looking forward for more interesting discussions this coming 4^th quarter and I really enjoyed my subject especially during our ICT.              

NEW YEAR, NEW ME!

                

Life in 2014 had been extremely amazing and the memories will be kept for a lifetime. Another chapter is about to come and I know that this will be great and interesting. Every New year I make a list of resolution to improve myself and become a better one.  This will serve as my guide towards the path of being a good individual.

                This year, I want to improve my self-responsibility. Being responsible on what you do or what you are marks how you did well in being a good citizen. I’ll be a better sister and daughter of the family. I’ll be more serious in studying, especially now that I’m entering College life. I’ll be a good friend. And I’ll be more responsible as a leader.

                I’m also looking forward in improving my self-esteem to learn how to properly face the crowd and defend what I am fighting for. It has been my dilemma for many years. Confidence is a must in any aspects of life. This will make me stronger and will definitely light me toward success.

                These are some things that I want to improve this year 2015. I know that it will be a tough year but as long as there is faith, it will turn out to be a wonderful one like this year. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!   :)  

THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS...

                Jesus Christ was born on this day of the year, December 25. His birth gave us another chance of living.  It is the time where love is the center of everything. It is the time of forgiving, understanding and acceptance not only to our love ones but also to the people around us. Christmas means spending time to our family and friends, enjoying the love you share to each other.

                Someone once told me, “Love is not only felt during Christmas, love is everywhere and comes anytime.” It is very true that love is not only present during Christmas season; love is here every day. We must be thankful as we wake up each morning because another gift of love was showered upon us. Yes, I can say that every day is Christmas, every day we received the love of God.

                As Christmas come, let us also think about the people around us. We must also share our love to them. Love is not a matter of choice. Loving someone is not because of what is seen by the eye but it is what is felt inside. We are all created equal.   

                Love is the true essence of Christmas. We are all united during this time, sharing the love showered upon us. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

FIGHT THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE NOW

                

             Climate change had been the main cause of modern environmental catastrophes based from the studies of scientists and meteorologists. The emergence of such phenomena has created consequences like the el ñino, la ñina, severe floods, strong typhoons and abnormal atmospheric conditions.

                Scientists say that the damage of ozone layer, which shields the earth from UV ray of the sun is mainly because of pollution. Consequently it has caused the occurrence of global warming and this altered the system of climate cycles and also induced abnormalities in our weather condition. The emission of chlorofluorocarbon from modern appliances and gadgets has contributed to more dangerous global warming and to the thinning of ozone layer. Therefore, the effects of UV rays have become more painful creating an abnormal imbalance of cold and hot temperatures.

                To mitigate the effects of climate change, each one of us must play his/her role, no matter how humble it may be, to save the mother earth from further destruction and make it a better place for the future generation.
